Our Fundamentals course consists of a movement screening before anything else. This screening shows us where you are currently at and where we need to start. It also sheds some light on potential injuries. Once the screening is done, we will do a minimum of five 1 on 1 sessions, this is all dependent on your goals and the findings in the movement screening.
In these 1 on 1 sessions, you will learn the necessary skills and movements for you to be successful in class. We will also spend time going over any concerns found from the movement screening. These sessions are intended to keep you safe, effective, and build your confidence when it comes to functional fitness.
Each session a coach will teach and demonstrate the foundational movements we use in our program, as well as review the range of motion and various scales to get you moving safely. Following the instruction portion of the class, you will participate in a workout. You will get sweaty and you will have fun. Once you are competent in the movements we use daily, you may graduate to our regular classes and get the full experience!
Working out at the gym isn't easy. But getting there shouldn't be hard. Perform Athletix is located and easily accessible from all of Rochester.
